Kristy Angelee
Like every girl, Kristy Angelee dreamed of a life with the white picket fence, sitting on a wrap-around porch drinking a cold glass of Arnold Palmer in the cool of the day with the one she loved and who loved her. But her utopian world was not what she experienced when she said "I Do" at age twenty-one, the reality of a never-in-my-wildest dream was compounded by the fact that her parents, Andrew L Smith Sr. and Katherine Smith, were one of the most influential marriages in our community of believers and non-believers alike. As her marriage began to spiral out of control, she faced criticism, sexism, jealousy, and spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical abuse. And when her not-so-fairy-tale marriage ended, she could have let her pain dictate her future.
Instead, she found herself in the arms of a living God, realigning, reassigning, and repurposing her life into a destiny more than she could have imagined.
